NAWGJ State Committee Meeting - Aug. 31, 7 pm

  1. Voted to push the annual judges meeting to 9:30 am due to the library not opening until 9am.
    1. 3 CPEs for this clinic
  2. New Judges Program 
    1. Once they’ve paid for their NAWGJ Membership → Monohan and Start Value Chart
      VOTE PASSED. 
    2. Will start with 5 Start Value Charts and 2 Monohan books to have on hand for new judges. 
  3. Zoo Review - at Alpha
    1. 6/7 session at Bartlesville
    2. HalloZOOween - Oct 27-29, costume party
    3. Voted to hire Dicky - $1,000 
    4. Leissner has a signupgenius ready
    5. Awards - count to see what we have and decide awards for the zoo once Kelly has numbers. 
    6. Gifts for athletes -- Finance team to look into what is in the account to decide the budget for gifts. Plan for around 600 athletes. Erin and Joanie will look for athletes. 
    7. Coaches have asked about the pins they used to get for 9.0 and above (for Zoo). 
      1. Shaw will look at some custom options for individual events, possibly to include ‘Zoo Review’, in bulk (thinking 500 per event → $125 x 4 = 500)
    8. All entries will go to Shaw’s PO Box. Will forward information to Dicky. 
    9. Amount toward education based on how many sessions volunteered for (OK minutes say a ‘minimum of 2 sessions)
      1. 0 session - NAWGJ paid for, if active in the state
      2. 1 session - $100 toward education + NAWGJ
      3. 2 session - $250 toward education + NAWGJ
      4. VOTE PASSED. 
  4. Judges Cup Team (7s)
    1. Top 6, plus alternate
    2. For 6s, to make it special → do critiques
      1. Also a potential for judges who maybe cannot make it to Zoo to get their hours
