Minutes
On conference call: Karis Alford, Lorrie Bertolet, Steven Anderson, Christian, Jennifer Patterson. Julie was absent.
• Bylaws for OK USAG State Administrative Committee – The new Bylaws were reviewed. Questioned by Jennifer Patterson…..Does this purpose match with the USA Gymnastics Committee purpose. Karis was going to check on that. Discussed was adding appointed members to the board. Dicki Ward, a lawyer and a judge. All three would be non-voting. The judge would be responsible to answering all judging questions, a lawyer would help protect us and our state with any legal problems and Dicki for all his work he does for Oklahoma Gymnastics. Jennifer suggested that at meetings, we do the non-voting information first so non-voting members can leave.
• Responsibilities for OK USAG State Administrative Committee-Karis discussed moving forward that anyone who is voted onto the board will have responsibilities. Moving forward, she wants a working board to help her more. She urged everyone to really think about whether they have the time to devote to being on the board.
• Appointed positions on the OK USAG State Administrative Committee-lawyer, judge and Dicki
• Optional State Meet Schedule – Optional meet schedule was reviewed, it was decided to switch the Level 8’s and the Platinum’s/Diamonds. Still waiting for age groups to make final schedule.

• Gyms under investigation -The two gyms were discussed
• Committee members running again- Please understand what your responsibilities will be while serving on the committee
• New business-Landing page to buy tickets for all state banquet to make the process easier for parents and teams to buy tickets.

- Karis discussed how coaches are not changing their levels on the USA sight which makes it difficult to know exact numbers. Karis will be enforcing that coaches update their levels with USA Gymnastics at the Drop Back Date. All board members agreed it was a good idea.
- Lorrie was approached at Nadia meet with complaints about age divisions for Regionals, that the older kids were not getting to go. Karis checked with Kim and it is all fair with a % of a % plus the fact that we have at large additional kids that get to go.
- Questioned was it fair to have a choreographer judge the floors she choreographs. Board members agreed, it should not matter. She goes in a does a floor routine in two hours and then leaves. It is not like she continues to coach a routine. That is the job of the coach. It is also not different than a judge that goes into a gym to look at routines. As long as the rules are being followed on hours spent for judges in gyms, there is not a problem with affiliation.
